How to Control the Ball in the Wind

Try these simple tips with deWiz to lower your ball flight and better control the ball in those windy conditions!

"when it's breezy swing it easy."

When playing in the wind, it's important to hit the ball with a lower trajectory. A higher spin rate will create a higher ball flight - and the two main factors in creating spin are speed and loft.

There are two primary data points we can look at with deWiz when working to lower ball flight: Length of Backswing and Backswing Duration.

If we can swing the club back slower (increased Backswing Duration) and shorter (shorter Length of Backswing) we'll be able to produce a lower trajectory and better control the ball in those windy conditions!
