Precision practice with Annika Sörenstam: The Learning Stimuli Challenge

Test your swing knowledge and simulate a pressure situation with this fun challenge!

Knowing your numbers is knowing your swing!

Looking for different ways to incorporate the deWiz Learning Stimuli into your practice? While it's certainly a great tool to assist in developing a swing change, it's also a way to test yourself and instill some "pressure" into your practice.

We started Annika with a wide range for her Length of Backswing parameters and with every successful swing, we tightened the parameters closer. Want to try the challenge? Here's how:

35 to 45 Inches

Will: "You're my mom, so I think around 35 to 45 is a good start."

The 35 to 45 inch range proved to be simple for Annika and she hit the 38 inch Length of Backswing on her first try.

36 to 43 Inches

Will: "Well, you are a Pro, so I think around 36 to about 43."

Yet again, proving why she is the GOAT Annika got her first swing to 39 inches.

39 to 41 Inches

Will: "You are a Hall of Famer, so I think you should go around 39 to about 41."

This is where it gets really impressive. Annika steps up to the challenge and hits a 39.9 Inches Length of Backswing. At this point Annika believes that the challenge is over but Will has one last range for her to hit. The GOAT Challenge.

The GOAT Challenge: 39.5 to 40 Inches

Will: "You are the GOAT, so let's go 39.5 to 40."

The final challenge proved a bit too right with Annika hitting a 41 inch backswing, the result? Annika got zapped by deWiz.

Conclusion

While this video is a fun challenge you can apply this to your routine. By progressively narrowing the acceptable range, you can fine-tune your swing and dial in the feel for your wedges and simulate pressure.

Remember: The higher you set the Learning Stimuli level, the more pressure you add to the game!
